Frequently Asked Questions
Answers about ordering, proofs, production, materials, pickup, shipping, and returns.
How long does production take?
Lead times vary by product and project complexity. The current estimate is shown on standard product pages and confirmed during quoting for custom work.
Will I receive a proof?
Personalized and custom projects receive a digital proof when artwork or layout approval is required.
Can I provide my own artwork?
Yes. Upload PNG, JPG, WEBP, PDF, or DXF files through the quote form. Higher-quality source files usually produce better results.
Do you ship?
Local pickup and Canadian shipping options are available depending on product size and weight.
What is the difference between ready-to-order, personalized, and custom?
Ready-to-order products use the listed design and available finish or display options. Personalized products let you change approved details such as names, dates, or wording. Custom projects begin with your own idea and require review, design planning, and a quote.
Will I receive a proof?
A digital proof is provided when personalized or custom work requires design approval. Check spelling, dates, layout, and requested details carefully. Production begins after the required approval and payment are received.
How is custom pricing calculated?
Pricing considers materials, dimensions, design preparation, machine time, labour, finishing, assembly, hardware, quantity, packaging, and delivery requirements. A custom price is based on the complete scope rather than material alone.
How long does production take?
Timing depends on product type, materials, design complexity, proof approval, quantity, finishing, curing, and the current production queue. An estimate is provided for custom work, but it begins only after all required information and approvals are complete.
What materials do you use?
Available projects may use pine, cedar, domestic hardwoods, live-edge wood, acrylic, resin details, glass, hardware, and 3D-printed components. The best option depends on the design, budget, intended use, and environment.
Will wood look exactly like the photograph?
No two wood pieces are identical. Grain, colour, knots, mineral streaks, live edges, and how stain is absorbed will vary. Those natural differences are part of the finished product rather than a defect.
Can I supply my own artwork or logo?
Yes. Vector artwork is preferred for logos, cutting, and precise engraving. High-resolution images may work for photographic engraving. You must have permission to use any supplied artwork, logo, photograph, or protected content.
Can products be used outdoors?
Only products and finishes described for outdoor use should be placed outdoors. Even exterior finishes require care and may weather over time. Location, sun, rain, moisture, and temperature changes affect service life.
Do you offer local pickup?
Yes. Pickup is arranged after the order is complete and a ready notification has been sent. Pickup is not a walk-in retail service, so wait for confirmation and instructions.
Do you ship across Canada?
Many products can be shipped within Canada. Cost and availability depend on size, weight, destination, fragility, and packaging. Oversized or unusually fragile projects may require a separate delivery plan.
Can personalized or custom products be returned?
Personalized and custom products are generally final sale because they were made for one customer. Contact us promptly if an item arrives damaged, is defective, or differs materially from the approved order details.
How should I care for a wood product?
Keep decorative wood products away from prolonged moisture, extreme heat, and rapid humidity changes. Dust with a soft dry cloth. Food-contact boards should be cleaned and maintained according to the care instructions provided with that product.
